Detective.Games is a collaborative product operated jointly by ASAMARA DIGITAL - FZCO and THE SAME Adventures GmbH (together "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights — including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADO).
By creating an account and using Detective.Games, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
Asamara Digital and THE SAME Adventures are joint controllers of your personal data within the meaning of Art. 26 GDPR. This means both companies jointly determine the purposes and means of processing your data in connection with Detective.Games. Asamara Digital is responsible for the technology and platform; THE SAME Adventures is responsible for game content and marketing.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all orders. We do not store your credit card details. Paddle provides us with a transaction reference, amount, and status only. Paddle's privacy policy applies: paddle.com/legal/privacy
During gameplay, you may optionally upload photos to celebrate your arrest moment. These are stored securely and used solely within the game experience. If you separately consent (see Section 5.3), we may also publish these on social media.
At the end of a game, you may optionally submit ratings and written feedback. If you separately consent (see Section 5.4), we may publish your feedback with your name.
We use Lovable (Lovable Labs AB) as our application platform and analytics provider. Lovable collects standard usage telemetry: IP address and approximate location, browser type and version, pages and features accessed, and session duration. We also use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel for advertising measurement. See Section 7 (Cookies) for details.
We use your account, payment, and game activity data to create and maintain your account, authenticate sessions, process payments, and deliver the game experience.
We use anonymised analytics and feedback data to understand how players interact with the game and to make improvements.
We will only publish your photos on social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) — whether posted by Asamara Digital or THE SAME Adventures — if you explicitly tick the consent checkbox at the point of upload. All posts will be credited to Detective.Games.

Consent is voluntary, free of charge, and can be withdrawn at any time. Upon withdrawal, we will remove the image from future posts; images already published may remain in historical archives.
We will only publish your written feedback with your name on social media or on our website if you explicitly tick the consent checkbox on the feedback form.

We run advertising campaigns on Google Ads and Meta. These platforms may use pixel tracking to measure ad effectiveness. We do not use your personal data to send you marketing emails without your separate consent.
As joint controllers, Asamara Digital and THE SAME Adventures share access to data relevant to their respective responsibilities — platform data and analytics for Asamara Digital; content, marketing, and feedback data for THE SAME Adventures. Both companies are bound by this Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. On your first visit to Detective.Games, you will be shown a cookie consent banner. Non-essential cookies will only be set after you provide consent.

Your data is hosted within the EU (Ireland and Frankfurt). Where data is transferred outside the EEA — for example via Google or Meta services — we ensure appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are in place.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. Contact us at info@detective.games — we will respond within 30 days.
EU/Swiss residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection supervisory authority. Swiss residents may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at fdpic.ch.
Detective.Games is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us at info@detective.games.
We use encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, and host on ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified infrastructure (Lovable and Supabase).
We may update this policy from time to time. Registered users will be notified of material changes by email. The current version is always available at detective.games/privacy.
